Professor Catherine Wall is a Consultant Nephrologist in Tallaght University Hospital and Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medicine and Nephrology in Trinity College Dublin. She is also Lead Clinical Director for Tallaght University Hospital as well as Clinical Director for Medicine.

She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin Medical School. Following initial training in Ireland and a fellowship in Nephrology in Toronto, she completed her training in London, UK before taking up a consultant post in Ireland in 2006. Her major clinical interests include acute kidney injury, glomerulonephritis in particular nephrotic syndrome, kidney disease in pregnancy, vasculitis and home therapies in dialysis. She has a major interest in Medical Education and was National Speciality Director for Nephrology in RCPI for the last six years.

She remains active in clinical research with a particular interest in quality improvement in medication prescribing as well outcomes research in dialysis.

She is a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and a Member of The American Society of Nephrology
